I moved back to Park City in 1976 for the lifestyle and have been here
ever since. Back in the days when building was still a seasonal activity I
taught skiing at Park City Mountain Resort in the winter and worked
construction in the summers. Opportunity presented itself in the early
eighties, so I started a wood siding company with my brother, Bob, to
service Park City's growing homebuilding market.

In 1992, looking for more of a challenge, I started a General Contracting
business with my soon to be wife, Julie, and built our first home for sale.
Good fortune smiled down, this first project sold quickly and we never
looked back.

Since then we have built many projects, both speculative and custom. To
make things even more challenging I decided to try my hand at design.
Initially, this was driven at least in part by cost: good architectural
services can be expensive. I had the time, a good working knowledge of
construction, and enthusiasm, so I went about it with gusto. I've since
built many homes, half of which were full design-build projects. The
smallest was a 2600 sf Victorian for a few hundred thousand, the largest
a 7800 sf Mountain Contemporay for a few million. The design-build
process has made me both sympathetic and empathetic toward the
Architects of the world. As an added benefit, I've experienced an
accelerated learning curve about all things related to building.
Born and raised in New Jersey, I came to Park
City "just for the ski season" in 1973. I had a
wonderful time for those few months and then
left, never dreaming that I would return. Travel
and adventure beckoned; I ended up on a 'round
the world' bicycle trip for over two years. When I
returned to the States I had no desire to return
to New Jersey. I was looking for something
more.
